I have spent most of my career optimizing databases. One day I decided to develop my own database with a single goal: performance. That's how it started.

We are a small team today but a very ambitious one. Even though we intend to grow, the development team will stay small. We want to keep our product fast, and that is not possible with a team of 100 developers. We also believe that the quality of developers matters more than the number.
